ValMark Securities, a recognized industry leader, is a national independent broker dealer specializing in equity, investment advisory and risk management products and services. Due to our rapid growth, we seek an energetic professional to join our brokerage general agency in the role of Insurance Marketing Consultant.

Area of Focus:
We are looking for a self-starter that will be responsible for:
• Relationship management
• Internal sales desk support
• Sophisticated life insurance case design
• Product expertise and illustration support
• Developing and marketing life insurance sales ideas and concepts
• Overall business development

Key Responsibilities:
The Marketing Consultant will work with a team of assigned Member Offices and provide the following services to them (Note: Member Offices are independent insurance professionals registered with our broker dealer who specialize in high-end life insurance planning. They are among the most elite insurance professionals in the country).

• Manage the overall relationship for a team of assigned Member Offices
• Serve as an internal sales consultant available to assist Member Offices who call in for life insurance case design, analysis and support (this includes running advanced illustrations any other kind of sales support and expertise as it relates to the various uses of life insurance in estate, business, retirement and financial planning)
• Provide a deep working knowledge of life insurance products (including all forms of variable, fixed and hybrid life insurance)
• Work with insurance carriers to stay informed of product changes and key developments
• Serve as a moderator and/or speaker on webinars, presentations or other mediums in which internal staff presents life insurance topics to Member Offices, including our national compliance and sales meeting(s)
• Identify and develop life insurance sales opportunities for assigned Member Offices
• Develop and build marketing materials and presentations to increase life insurance sales
• Work alongside ValMark’s Underwriting and New Business teams to collectively help assigned Member Offices design and place their life insurance cases
• Develop deep working relationship with assigned Member Offices such that they feel and believe you are their personal advocate for their business and an extension of their firm

Experience, Background and Skills Required:
• 5+ years in the life insurance product arena
• Know and understand carrier product specifications, nuances and niches
• Extremely strong life insurance product knowledge and case design skills
• Strong life sales, advanced sales , and advanced marketing experience, skills and knowledge
• At least one of the following designations: CFP®, CLU, JD, CPA
• FINRA Series 7 and 24 designations
• Strong relationship management skills
• Strong public speaking skills
