The Industrial Accounts Buyer reports to the Commercial Operations Manager. The Industrial Accounts Buyer develops and maintains relationships of all industrial accounts located in designated regions. The incumbent visits existing and potential suppliers to promote our Company's service capabilities. The incumbent is responsible for communicating with and providing efficient customer service to industrial accounts in order to maintain these relationships. The Industrial Account Buyer develops pricing strategies to ensure the retention of industrial accounts. The incumbent must be knowledgeable of all costs associated with the handling and processing of nonferrous and ferrous materials, be knowledgeable of current sales; and provide optimum pricing strategies to the Commercial Operations team and facility management. The incumbent stays in constant contact with the Regional Commercial Support Group to assist with bid preparation and resolve costing issues as required. The incumbent ensures account settlements and payments are reviewed and completed promptly. This position requires the Industrial Accounts Buyer to be in the field fifty percent (50%) of the time visiting the existing client base, twenty-five percent (25%) seeking out new business and the remaining time at the office reviewing account deliveries and reviewing and approving the account settlement documents.

This position operates within somewhat defined parameters. The primary goal of this position is to achieve excellence in all facets of commercial operations. Providing the highest quality product safely, effectively and efficiently decreases accidents and errors and increases profits.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position does not directly supervise any employees.

Job Conditions:
Average office environment; occasional exposure to dirt and dust related to scrap yard environment. Work pressure can be substantial during peak times, requiring considerable adaptability; disturbances of work flow, and/or irregularities in work schedule are expected and occur on an intermittent basis. Offsite work involves meeting in person with current or potential customers, and visiting other Company locations. Regional travel required.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business is preferred, but not required in addition to 5+ years prior sales experience and/or 5-10 years prior experience as a metal buyer in the scrap industry. This position requires possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to drive an automobile.

Knowledge of testing and identifying metal alloys; superior customer service skills; Windows XP, which includes Outlook; tact and ability to communicate with people at all levels, both orally and in writing, in a professional manner; excellent mathematical and problem solving skills; strong negotiation skills; attention to detail and accuracy; basic typing and 10-key skills. Ability to: have commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form; deal with problems involving several specific variables in or from standard situations.

Tracks facility's waste streams and administers waste programs.

3 - 5 years experience with CORE measures at Top 10%, NPSG compliance, and with ability to present to board, physicians, managers and staff. Must validate measures are scored appropriately and is able to work at different times of the day/evening as needed to insure hospital meets all metrics. Must be assertive and comfortable with holding staff accountable. Excels in spreadsheets, word processing and personnel management. Need someone flexible, willing to teach and help where needed.

Person must have past experiencence in a large acute care for profit facility. Person must have a Bachelor's Degree in a Clinical area or Nursing. Master's degree preferred. Must hold an active and unencumbered License in Louisiana.
